May

I can't believe that May is already here. So here is my May desktop/ calendar page.

I finally took the kids to the doctor today, Alex has been sick for at least a month and just can't get rid of this crazy cough and Zachy started coughing and breathing hard so I figured it was time to take them both in. They are on antibiotics now so hopefully they will get over this crud.

Ice Eater

Alright after spending WAY to long making my own background for my blog I am going to hurry and do a post.

I have to laugh at Zach because he LOVES to eat ice. So I have to get a cup with crushed ice for him then feed it too him so that he doesn't make a mess with it. It's really cute because he will "chomp it" so you hear him walking around chewing on ice. It has been a life saver with him teething!

Alex is still struggling with this dang cold/cough that is going around, every time I think he is on the up and up he crashes again. It's very frustrating because I am playing that "is he OK to go to school/church game". He is also old enough now that he understands that he is sick but doesn't understand why medicine doesn't always work and that he can't have medicine every time he starts to cough. We are trying to keep him drinking water and juice but the kid LIVES on chocolate milk so it's a battle some times.

For those of you that have the Disney Channel, you have probably seen the new show called "Special Agent Oso" well Alex had been anxiously awaiting this show for some reason and he absolutely loves it. It is very cheesy to me but it has taught him some really good things that we have been trying to get him to learn for a long time. Like spitting after brushing his teeth... odd I know but for some reason him seeing it on TV made it click. He is also more willing to help with picking up toys and putting them back in their proper spot. So I have to give props to Disney for this show... much to my dismay ha ha ha!

Second Breakfast...

For you Lord of the Ring fans you know the story behind "Second Breakfast". Anyways it totally fits with Zach... he eats second breakfast, and third and forth... the kid eats ALL DAY. It makes me nuts. He doesn't just "graze" he eats full meals. You just get everything cleaned up and he is climbing back in his chair wanting to eat again. I really hope that he is just going through a growth spurt but it is lasting a really long time. It is so unnatural to me because Alex doesn't eat. He would eat one meal a day if he could get away with it. Zach has no qualms when it comes to food. He will eat anything you put in front of him (which is AWESOME) I do hope that he continues to like food, I just hope we can maybe get back to more of a breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner routine. Instead of a eating at least once every hour...

Happy Anniversary!

Well it's 12 years today! Shawn was laughing because the weather today is the same as it was the day we got married. He was giving me a hard time because I was so upset driving to the temple that day because it was raining and my wedding day! He pointed out that it really wasn't important and what was important was that we were getting married. Ahh how many times has Shawn had to remind me that the "rain" doesn't matter and that I need to look at the bigger picture! Well the rain on our wedding day actually made our pictures turn out beautifully! Happy 12 years!

Happy Birthday!

Today is Alex's 4th Birthday! It just amazes me how fast time goes by. I have to say as I was looking through Alex's baby pictures it seems so surreal to me. It's hard to remember what he was like when he was a baby he is such a little boy now. He is very jaundice in this picture but I still thought it was cute.

Addicted...

Hi my name is Kimberlee Anderson and I am a downloadaholic...

A few years ago I decided to switch to digital scrapbooking. My visiting teacher at the time had done an enrichment class on it and had given me a list of sites that had advice and free downloads. I don't know how many of the original sites I still go to. I do however have three sites that I go to every single day, why you ask? Because they have a free daily download! I also get emails from countless sites that I have signed up with and I get free downloads from them.

Well along with blogging came "blog trains" different scrapbook designers get together and design scrapbook products off of a theme that they have picked. An email is sent out or a post is made on a blog and there are links to all the other designers blogs for free downloads! I have seen these trains have up over 100 designers, and I am in download heaven. I mean come on! It's FREE!!! and on top of going to all these different designers websites to get their portion of the train I inevitably find either 1-another train for a different theme or 2-more free downloads! This doesn't include the thousands of websites out there that sell digital supplies, that have "freebies" occasionally posted on their websites. You could spend countless hours hoping from site to site looking for freebies. (Trust me I have done it) Each site has links to other sites...

I have joked with Shawn about this before, but it's like a drug, I have tried to stop but I can't! I can't "get off the train" halfway through! It eats at me knowing there is more free downloads out there and I will always go back because I have to finish it. Yeah sure some of the stuff is ugly and I will probably never use it so it gets deleted but it's so worth it for those amazing designs.
See as much as I wish and would love it, I just don't have the talent of these people. I would love to have that ability (and knowledge) to sit down and create something from nothing. But alas I don't know if that is something that will ever happen so, I download! I am proud to say that of my 54 gigs of scrapbook stuff that probably 98% of it is from free downloads. (I have purchased a couple of kits, design "tools" and training programs.) The sad thing is.. I very rarely actually scrapbook... It's not for lack of wanting to there is just so many other things to do, and I already spend so much time at my computer that it makes the kids crazy.
