Graduation

I have mentioned it before but Alex hates hats so I was interested to see how he did with the graduation hat. He did exactly what I though he would do, refused to put it on!

It was late and Zach was ready for bed if you can't tell!

We did manage to get him to put it on long enough to get a picture.

He did so great during the program I was so proud of him. When they did a little song played on the bells Alex knew right when his color was coming up. He knew all of the nursery rhymes and all of their actions. He still has another year of preschool but I think he will enjoy it. I am worried about what I am going to do with him this summer I don't think he has realized that he wont go back to preschool until the fall.

Crazy

The other night Shawn went out to turn out sprinklers on for the season and check to make sure they were all working. The kids were just restless it was the time of night where it's too early to put them to bed but they are tired so they are just grumpy. So I decided what the heck I will take them outside (knowing full well they would probably get wet) Zach is completely crazy and has no fear of the water spraying him. He was running up and down our sidewalk just giggling. I had to run next to him to make sure he didn't run out in the road so I was getting wet as well but he was having so much fun that I just had to let him go.

I must have been a little restless myself that day because earlier in the day I had finished working and was debating what to start on and I decided that I wanted to walk up and get Alex from preschool. So I messaged my friend since she was driving the kids this week and told her my thought, and she confirmed that I was crazy but she was up for it so we took the two little kids and walked up to the preschool. It's probably not even a full mile one way but it was a nice walk but a bit warm (this was Monday afternoon).

Get it?

It's amazing (and scary) the things kids pick up from other kids. Alex has picked up "Get it?" He will say it when he thinks he is telling a joke but he pretty much will say it after anything. Like this morning he said "poka-dots, get it? ha ha ha" It's extra funny because he does this goofy laugh after he says it.

On Saturday we went to Shawn's parents after eating we went to the park and Zachary just walked and walked and walked, in fact he walked so much that he got a blister on his foot. It's partly my fault he was in his "crocs" and he didn't have any socks on (because he HATES socks) I had brought a pair of socks for him but just didn't think about putting them on. Oh well he had fun and it didn't seem to bother him.

May

I can't believe that May is already here. So here is my May desktop/ calendar page.

I finally took the kids to the doctor today, Alex has been sick for at least a month and just can't get rid of this crazy cough and Zachy started coughing and breathing hard so I figured it was time to take them both in. They are on antibiotics now so hopefully they will get over this crud.

Ice Eater

Alright after spending WAY to long making my own background for my blog I am going to hurry and do a post.

I have to laugh at Zach because he LOVES to eat ice. So I have to get a cup with crushed ice for him then feed it too him so that he doesn't make a mess with it. It's really cute because he will "chomp it" so you hear him walking around chewing on ice. It has been a life saver with him teething!

Alex is still struggling with this dang cold/cough that is going around, every time I think he is on the up and up he crashes again. It's very frustrating because I am playing that "is he OK to go to school/church game". He is also old enough now that he understands that he is sick but doesn't understand why medicine doesn't always work and that he can't have medicine every time he starts to cough. We are trying to keep him drinking water and juice but the kid LIVES on chocolate milk so it's a battle some times.

For those of you that have the Disney Channel, you have probably seen the new show called "Special Agent Oso" well Alex had been anxiously awaiting this show for some reason and he absolutely loves it. It is very cheesy to me but it has taught him some really good things that we have been trying to get him to learn for a long time. Like spitting after brushing his teeth... odd I know but for some reason him seeing it on TV made it click. He is also more willing to help with picking up toys and putting them back in their proper spot. So I have to give props to Disney for this show... much to my dismay ha ha ha!
